What a night! – Deutsches Museum Bonn

On October 7, 2026, around 100 people joined us at Deutsches Museum Bonn for “Hits per Knopfdruck?” – How artificial intelligence is changing music. Curious, excited and in great spirits, the audience turned the evening into exactly what I had hoped for: a real conversation about creativity, technology and the future of music.

Together with the audience, we created a song idea live with the help of AI, working the hybrid way: real musical input, ideas from the room and AI tools side by side. Along the way, we took a peek behind the scenes of modern production workflows and talked about where human decisions still make all the difference. The evening ended with a lively discussion full of different opinions, and everyone in the room got something out of it. A special moment: the world premiere of “Sacrifice”, the new single by KAI NØIR, our virtual artist at Smopp Records. The track is now out on all platforms, and it stays at the museum too: as part of the new KAI NØIR Xponat, visitors can now watch and listen to clips from our studio day and discover how AI-assisted music is made.
